On February 27, 2023, Governor Brian P. Kemp’s official governor’s website, gov.georgia.gov, issued a press release announcing the building of a new fulfillment facility for Sam’s Club in Douglas County. Sam’s Club will invest over 142 million dollars into the new center. This investment will create over 600 new jobs in Douglas County.

The governor’s press release also describes as a “national wholesale club and members-only retail chain. The company is a subsidiary of Walmart, which currently supports more than 66,000 jobs in Georgia”. No specific dates were provided regarding the opening date for the new fulfillment facility, however; the release stated that the building’s location will be at 1000 Douglas Hill Road in Lithia Springs. The Sam’s Club store is located in the same shopping center as Beauty Master and Walmart.


The Sam’s Club fulfillment facility will soon bring 600 new jobs to Douglas County and those interested in learning more about employment are encouraged to visit:
