Kindergarten registration has opened for parents to enroll their students in kindergarten on May 1st, according to a flyer posted on the school district’s website. This year, parents are being encouraged to register their children early. This will help to prepare teachers for the beginning of the school year.

The registration flyer also states, “Georgia law required that Kindergarten students  be five-years-old on or by September 1st, 2023.”

This year students who are registered for kindergarten by July 7th are able to attend a special kindergarten camp.

The camp allows kindergarteners to learn more about their new schools.  It will also help them to know what a “typical day at school is like.”

Visit The school system in Douglas County to access the registration portal. The registration process must be completed online.
