On Monday, a pickup truck plowed into Bagel Meister on Chapel Hill Road. According to WSB-2 Atlanta TV News, several people were transported to the hospital with various injuries. At the time of this report, no fatalities have been reported.

A note taped across the remaining windows briefly detailed the horrific event from the day before. On Tuesday, people were seen working hard cleaning up the inside of the restaurant. The restaurant’s Facebook page stated that they planned to reopen on Wednesday morning.

Fortunately, the restaurant was able to open up at its scheduled time on Wednesday morning. Remnants of broken glass lay strewn in a parking space near the store as customers were seen walking in and out of the restaurant. One customer who had only visited the store three times stated that she was surprised to “hear about the incident, but was happy that no one was hurt”.

As you enter, the signs of damage are able to be seen inside the establishment. At the counter where food is often distributed, large chunks and dents have been chipped away at the counter. The door that once served as an additional entrance/exit lay placed on the floor in the corner. Although tables have been switched around, there are still spaces available for people to dine in comfort.
