On March 31st, 2023, Douglas County launched its ” 2023 Transit Master Plan in Partnership with the Atlanta Region Transit Authority” according to their press release. The purpose of their union is to evaluate the current and future transportation needs of the county.

According to their post, the study is a year-long study that will be shaped by “feedback from the public through public meetings, workshops, website, and social media, online surveys, and other methods”. The county encourages people who live or work in Douglas County to complete the Transit Master Plan Survey at www.douglascountytmp.com.

Residence can take a Connect Douglas bus to get anywhere in the county. Bus numbers 10, 20, 30 and 40 provide service throughout downtown Douglasville and North Douglas. Riders can also connect to Cobblinc to secure bus service to the H.E. Holmes Marta Station.
