DOUGLASVILLE, G.A.– Jessie Davis Park in Douglasville is getting a facelift. The part has closed for major renovations to increase ADA accessibility and improve the quality of experiences at Jessie Davis Park. The improvements are expected to serve current and future residents by making the park more sustainable.

The upgrades include synthetic turf for the football field, a new gym with 2 indoor basketball courts, a zero-entry pool with a splash pad area, a multi-use trail system, a senior center, and expanded parking.   

Throughout the fall access to basketball courts and other services will be unavailable. The Alice J. Hawthorne Center will remain open during the renovations. The project is expected to cost $25,119,164.75.
