Mark your calendars, the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville announced the date for this year’s annual “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party”. On Saturday, March 19th families are invited to the Cultural Arts Center to enjoy time with The Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, and the White Rabbit (who will probably be late). This in an afternoon filled with fun and adventure.

This event is a homage to the classic children’s novel, Alice in Wonderland by author C.S. Lewis. According to the Cultural Arts Council, families will participate in sing-a-longs, story-times, and many other Alice inspired activities. Children ages 3-10 years old and their parents are invited to wear their best tea party outfits as prizes will be given to adults with the maddest hat.

In addition to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville is looking for artists to participate in their 2nd annual “Wonderland Themed Yard Art Contest”. All entries are free and must incorporate “Wonderland” into their yard art. First, second, and third place contest winners will receive a cash award. Entry forms are due by Friday, February 25.
